Happiers Simbo
is a dedicated Christian and believes in the infallibility of the Word of God
as written in the Bible. He is a Bible teacher, preacher and pastor of the
Christian Church. He is married to
Junior and has four children, three girls and one boy. He was brought up under the Christian
guidance of his parents who were preachers in the Methodist church.
Upon entry to
high school he began to lose the parental contact and influence, which led himto start
indulging in sinful and immoral activities including smoking, drinking alcohol
and even fornication. However the seed of Christianity planted during the years
of childhood
and early teens
could not be driven out of his inner heart, but rather remained rebellious to all worldly activities,
which made him a captive to his conscience.
At twenty-three
years of age Happiers met a minister of God who was preaching about repentance from sin as a
way to the salvation of the soul. Having understood what repentance meant, he dropped all
worldly and sinful activities and in a number of cases went to make restitution
for wrongs committed. With this total turn around the Lord Jesus saved him. He
was born again in spirit. A total transformation occurred in his entire life,
completely turning away from his former ways. He became a new creature as the Bible
says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Happiers knows
the truth of this scripture through a practical and successful Christian life in
which he has traveled for over thirty-one years. He was saved in Zimbabwe and moved
to live in London, England for many years and presently lives in Mauritius.
In all these culturally diverse parts of the world nothing has managed to move
him from the power of salvation. His life of teaching and preaching
the Word has demonstrated to him that, "Jesus Christ the same
yesterday, and today, and for ever" (Hebrews 13:8). He has seen
men and women being wonderfully saved and their lives changing completely,
the barren being given children and the sick being healed, and many other
miracles taking place in his ministry.
He believes and prays that this book will widen his
testimony of this truth to the wider world and many generations to come than pulpit preaching can achieve.
